AUSTRALIAN CHINESE PAINTING SOCIETY, INC

Dear Member,
At our last meeting we discussed, among other things, a get together and a YUM CHA. Although many were in favour, we never finalized a date.

On consultation with other members, our Treasurer, Maggie De Courcy undertook to organize one anyway and with the help of email and lots of phone calls, we met on 8th March at the North Ryde RSL and had a wonderful time. Not many attended but we hope to do better next time.
Mindful that many of you seemed to favour a week day, we have decided on Monday 28th April. This time no one can say that it was at short notice, so please keep the day free. If you would like to participate, please ring Maggie De Courcy at 9878 1530 and she will be able to give you all the details.

Exhibition by the Australian Chinese Painting Society, Inc.
The date of our exhibition is fast approaching and some preparations have to be made. To facilitate the job of preparing a catalogue, I would ask you to fill in the form at the end of this letter and send it to our usual address as soon as possible.

Next meeting
We don't have any activity planned for our next meeting which as you know will be on 5th April but it was suggested that if you have any doubts about framing, the actual paintings, or simply wanted to have some advice, it would be a good idea to bring the paintings along and show them to the other members. We can also discuss various duties and how much help you are prepared to give.

And now it only remains for me to give you some information about some exhibitions soon showing at the CHINESE CULTURAL CENTRE

EXHIBITIONS AT THE CHINESE CULTURAL CENTRE
799 Pacific Highway, Chatswood
1st May to 13th May:
Solo Chinese Painting Exhibition by Wen Quan
15th May to 27th May:
Solo Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition by Wang Chu Cai
29th May to 10th June:
Chinese Painting Exhibition by the Australian Chinese Painting Society, Inc.

Let us all make a great effort and make this exhibition a real success.

Your Secretary,
Mirra.
