| Here is a wonderful chance for you to have your work photographed. Our President, Andrew Lo has offered to take a photograph of one of your paintings with his new digital camera. So bring along an example of your work and have it recorded for posterity. This will give us a potentially useful archive of our members' works - for use in making catalogues or other publications more professional. It is also an excellent way for the members of the Society to share their ideas and aspirations, by showing their work and being able to talk to other members about their ideas. So bring along your favourite painting. |
Welcome to these new members.
A special welcome aboard to Daisy Hsu, Evelyne Hadfield, and Viviane Pilorgen-Coffin
We look forward to seeing them at our meetings and sharing our interest in Chinese painting with them.
Upcoming Exhibition
Society member Jack Shu and two other local Chinese artists call themselves the "Three Friends Studio" and will be having an exhibition of their collected works at the Chinese Cultural Centre, opening on Saturday, August 18. The Cultural Centre is located at the rear of the block opposite Chatswood High School on the Pacific Highway, where the BOC and Vodaphone buildings are situated. It is a short walk up from the station, and there is a large council parking area nearby.
If you have an email address, please send a short message to Mirra at: mirrahai@bigpond.net.au
This will help her build an electronic mailing list, and make it easier for the Society to communicate with you faster. By the way, have you looked at the Gallery pages on the Will's Quills website? Go to:
and click on the Gallery link. There is always something interesting to see.
