Mirra sends her apology as she has to stay home to provide intensive love and care to Jimmy who has returned home recently from hospital. Our thoughts and all our kindest regards go to Mirra.
News:
At the February meeting, artist Shen Mo, native of Jiangsu Province, and famous for his paintings of the waterways of his home town Suzhou, gave a demonstration of his painting style and how he had adapted his style to painting Australian landscapes. Shen Mo is head of the Jiangnan Painting Academy and also director of an art gallery in Suzhou.
Shen Mo is interested in a cultural exchange project between members of our Society and his artist friends and associates in the Jiangnan Painting Academy. All we need to do is to make our way to Suzhou and he will get the exchange program organized. Our Treasurer Maggie offered The how and where forth will be discussed at our April meeting.
Agenda:
1. Discuss the serious problem of escalating public insurannce liability premium and how it will affect our Society.
2. Cultural exchange project with Jiangnan Painting Academy.
Activity:
As in past meetings, a "show and tell" session on your latest creations will help fellow members to get new ideas and inspirations. Some of you may wish to give a spontaneous demonstration of your recently discovered bush and ink nuances. Paper and ink will be supplied. We look forward to some lively action!
