Moon Festival at Chinese Garden
Sunday 19th September
Visitors enjoyed the demonstrations by Andrew and Mrs Chen. Artists painted approx 160 beautiful paintings for visitors to take home. Sydney Council was so pleased with our contribution they treated the artists and the helpers with lunch and moon cakes! Thanks go to the following people:
Artists: Andrew Lo, Mrs Chen, Patrick Chin, Jill Clark , Lilian Lai, Christine Winterbothom, Tammy Szeto and Mike Harty who carved a special seal of rabbit and moon for the event.
Helpers: Ian Lai, Susannah Lai (Lilian & Ian’s daughter), Mr Chen ( Mrs Chen’s husband), Eileen Wong and Jenny Roxburgh.
$400 for the Society!
Sydney City Council was very pleased with our contributions and gave our Society $400, which is very much appreciated .
