Chinese New Year falls on the 14th of February and is the year of the tiger.
恭喜發財 (Happy New Year)!
We thank Lilian Lai for her hard work in negotiating with Sydney City Council， our Society is now one of the participants involved in Council's Chinese New Year Celebration program. A few of our elite artists will be giving talks about Chinese art, doing demonstrations and painting Chinese Zodiac signs.

Oriental Painting Competition Sydney Royal Easter Show
Good news!
Due to the huge effort of William Lai and Andrew Lo, Oriental Painting, for the first time , has been included as one of the Competition classes in the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Class 248 is for traditional paintings and Class 249 is for contemporary paintings. Online entry closes on 3rd February , www.sydneyroyal.com.au/arts.

Maggie will not be able to attend the Society's meetings at Wills Quills for the entire year due to a torn cartilage in her left knee. We wish Maggie a speedy recovery. However, Maggie will still be able to organise Yum Cha for members.
