Dear Members

It has been a very busy and successful few months for our society- especially our very popular session at the Art Gallery of NSW “Painting the Chinese Zodiac Signs”- a very special thank you to all involved and of course Mike Harty.

Our next meeting will take place on:
Saturday 6th December 2008 at 2.00pm at Will’s Quills

... with a demonstration by Andrew Lo: "Scroll making in the toll free fast lane" .
The scroll making he has in mind is a scroll format that he has been using to display his artworks of varying sizes at minimal cost, such as the ones he exhibited at the Queensland Regional Art Gallery at Hervey Bay, and also at Plum Blossoms Gallery in Hong Kong. It is easy to put together, time saving,  and costs next to nothing.

This is our last meeting this year and it is our Xmas Party, a great chance to catch up.
Please everybody bring a small plate and a small gift for a “Lucky Dip”. The gift could be art related, maybe your own creation, and should not cost more than $10.  The giver is free to stay anonymous. Suggestion for gifts are: cards, wrapping paper, brushes, books etc.

We might be able to get canvases at a reasonable price through Millie Chong's contact. If you are interested, please bring dimensions (i.e. length x  width x  depth) of the canvas you wish to order.
