Items of Interest

  • 12 people attended our outdoor painting session at the Botanical Garden with good weather, it turned out a very enjoyable experience. Will those people who participated please bring their paintings to the meeting for our "Show and Tell" session.
  • A warm "Welcome" to our new members Joel Griffin, Eileen Wong and Wendy Ung
  • Don't forget to bring your paintings for the FINK Café exhibition. They all have to be clearly labelled at the back with:
    - Name of the artist
    - Title of the painting and Medium
    - Sale price
  • Our annual exhibition has been scheduled for the school holiday period in October, to be held at the International Art Gallery, in Carlingford Village Shopping Centre, Carlingford. It is proposed that an exhibition committee be formed to plan the event. Interested members are most welcome to join the committee. Please let Daisy or Andrew know.
  • Well known artist and teacher Larry Lau has recently retired from formal teaching. Larry has given his large and valuable collection of art books to Andrew to look after. Andrew told Larry that his much treasured books will become a part of our Society's library. There is an ongoing discussion as to how best to make the books readily accessible to members. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
  • There will be a another painting field trip to be held in May. Suggestion of where to go is much appreciated. There is a proposal to go somewhere up the coast where a number of our members reside. Daisy will provide interested members with details in due course.

Hopefully, we will see you all at the next meeting.

Happy painting and wishing you all a very HAPPY EASTER

Evelyne Zuercher Hadfield
