  • Paintings from the Liverpool Hospital exhibition to be picked up from Will's
    Quills after January 23rd.

The "Oriental Brush 3" exhibition at Liverpool Hospital was launched on Tuesday 12 December 2006 by Ms Kung who is one of the directors in the Hospital. She spoke of the history of our society, and of the importance of art works to the mental well being of patients. Liverpool Hospital is very pleased that ACPS continues to provide paintings to exhibit.

Thao Nhi La, the exhibition coordinator, and two of her dedicated helpers have very nicely displayed 41 paintings from 10 of our members, in a prominent location which is near the Library and the reception area..

Daisy thanked the staff and volunteers for their work in mounting the exhibition, for their warm reception and for providing an enjoyable morning tea.
We ( Daisy, Anne, Carole, Peter ) were also treated to a tour of other art works on display around the hospital. We found out that Thao is a professional artist and is a Fine Art graduate from the University of NSW. Her works are displayed around the hospital and they are absolutely lovely.

The train journey to Liverpool was relaxing and the hospital is only 10 minutes walk from the Station, so we hope next year a lot more members will attend the opening of the exhibition, and experience the enthusiasm of those involved with Liverpool Hospital Arts for Health Program.

  • And last but not least- yes, the Committee is pushing i.e. encouraging you to start thinking about and painting of course for the upcoming Ryde (September), Paramatta (October) and Liverpool exhibitions.

Hopefully, we'll see you all at the next meeting
Happy painting and kind regards

Evelyne Zuercher Hadfield
